What is Jquery

jQuery is free, open source software. We can also say jQuery is a client-side scripting language. jQuery was first released in January 2006 at BarCamp NYC by John Resig. Now a day jQuery is most popular Javascript library. 

JQuery is not programming language. we create Jquery code by using javascript library. For javascript library there are two way to get javascript library.

1- Download Jquery from
2- Include Jquery from CDN(content delivery network).

Download Jquery from then save jquery(javascript library) in same directory.
then write this code on head section

There are two way to download jQuery.

1- Download the compressed (production version - we can just use this jquery file only)
